Privacy Policy

How we handle and protect your information

Effective Date: January 15, 2025

LogicX-MindSync operates in the decentralized application space, which means we think differently about data. We're based in Taiwan and work with clients across multiple jurisdictions, so we've structured our practices to respect both local regulations and international standards.

This isn't a document written by lawyers trying to cover every possible scenario. It's our genuine attempt to explain what happens with your information when you work with us.

What Information We Collect

Information You Give Us Directly

When you reach out about a project or sign up for our learning program, we collect what you share with us. This typically includes your name, email address, company details if relevant, and whatever project information you choose to provide.

For clients working on decentralized application projects, we might also collect technical requirements, wallet addresses for testing purposes, and specific business logic details needed to build your dApp.

Information Generated Through Our Work Together

During a project, we create documentation, code repositories, test results, and communication records. All of this becomes part of your project file. We keep these records because they help us deliver better service and provide continuity if you come back for additional work.

Technical Data from Website Visits

Like most websites, ours collects basic technical information when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, pages you view, and how long you stay. We use this to understand how people interact with our site and where we should focus our explanatory content.

How We Use Your Information

Primary purpose: We use your information to deliver the services you've asked for and to maintain our relationship with you.

  • Project delivery and technical support for dApp development work
  • Communication about your project status, technical questions, and updates
  • Learning program administration if you're enrolled in our educational offerings
  • Improving our service based on real project experiences and client feedback
  • Legal compliance with Taiwan regulations and relevant international standards
  • Security monitoring to protect both your data and our systems

We don't use your information for advertising purposes. We don't sell data to third parties. The decentralized application space is small enough that reputation matters more than volume, and we've built our practice on direct relationships rather than marketing funnels.

Data Storage and Security

Where Your Data Lives

Our primary systems are hosted in Taiwan, with backup infrastructure in secure data centers that meet international security standards. For clients specifically concerned about data location due to regulatory requirements, we can discuss dedicated hosting arrangements.

Project files and code repositories are stored on encrypted servers. Communication records are maintained in our project management system, which uses industry-standard security protocols.

Security Measures

We implement multiple layers of protection. Access to client data is restricted to team members directly involved in your project. All data transmission uses encryption. Our systems are regularly updated and monitored for security vulnerabilities.

For blockchain-related project work, we follow additional security protocols specific to handling smart contract code and test environments. This includes isolated development environments and strict access controls for anything touching mainnet infrastructure.

What Security Doesn't Cover

We can't protect information you share through insecure channels outside our control. If you email us from a compromised account or share sensitive details over unencrypted messaging platforms, that's outside our security perimeter. We recommend using our secure client portal for sensitive communications.

Sharing and Third-Party Access

We share client information only in specific, limited circumstances:

Situation What We Share Why
Service providers Minimal technical details needed for infrastructure support Hosting, backup, and security services require basic access
Legal requirements Whatever Taiwan authorities legally compel us to provide Compliance with valid legal processes
With your permission Project details you approve for case studies or references Marketing and demonstration purposes only with explicit consent
Business transition Client records if LogicX-MindSync is acquired or merged Ensuring continuity of service for existing clients

We don't use third-party analytics services that track you across multiple websites. We don't integrate with advertising networks. The only external services that touch client data are infrastructure providers we've vetted for security and privacy practices.

Your Rights and Control

Access and Correction

You can request a copy of all information we hold about you. We'll provide this in a readable format within 30 days. If anything is incorrect, let us know and we'll update our records.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your personal information. We'll comply unless we have a legitimate reason to retain specific records, such as:

  • Financial records we're legally required to maintain for tax purposes
  • Project documentation necessary for warranty obligations
  • Legal defense materials if there's an ongoing dispute
  • Anonymized data used for service improvement that can't be linked back to you

Data Portability

For information you've provided directly, we can export it in common formats so you can transfer it to another service provider. This includes project specifications, communication records, and any deliverables we've created for you.

Processing Restrictions

You can ask us to limit how we use your information while we resolve questions about accuracy or legitimate processing grounds. During this time, we'll store the data but not actively use it except for legal purposes.

Data Retention

We keep different types of information for different periods based on practical necessity and legal requirements:

  • Active project data: Retained throughout the project and for two years after completion to support warranty and maintenance obligations
  • Financial records: Seven years as required by Taiwan tax regulations
  • Communication records: Three years for client relationship management and service improvement
  • Technical documentation: Indefinitely for projects where we maintain ongoing support relationships, with regular reviews to remove outdated information
  • Marketing inquiries that don't convert to projects: One year, then automatically purged

These are our standard retention periods. If you have specific requirements based on your own regulatory obligations, we can discuss customized retention schedules as part of your service agreement.

International Data Transfers

Our primary operations are in Taiwan, but the nature of decentralized application development means we sometimes work with infrastructure that spans multiple jurisdictions. When your data moves across borders, we ensure adequate protection through:

  • Using service providers that maintain security certifications recognized internationally
  • Implementing contractual safeguards that require our partners to maintain privacy standards equivalent to what we provide directly
  • Encrypting data in transit and at rest regardless of geographic location
  • Monitoring for changes in international data protection frameworks that might affect our practices

For clients in the European Union, we maintain practices compatible with GDPR requirements even though we're Taiwan-based. For clients in other jurisdictions with specific data localization requirements, we can structure our services to meet those needs.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses minimal tracking technology. We employ a single cookie to maintain your session if you log into our client portal. We don't use advertising cookies, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking mechanisms.

Our server logs capture basic access information (IP address, timestamp, pages accessed) for security monitoring and technical troubleshooting. These logs are retained for 90 days then automatically deleted.

If you disable cookies entirely, you won't be able to use our client portal's authenticated features, but you can still browse our public website and contact us through standard forms.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our practices change or when legal requirements evolve. When we make significant changes, we'll notify active clients directly by email. We'll also update the effective date at the top of this page.

For minor clarifications that don't affect how we actually handle data, we'll simply update the document. You can always request a copy of previous versions if you want to see what changed.

If you continue working with us after we've notified you of policy changes, we'll consider that acceptance of the updated terms. If you're not comfortable with changes we've made, we can discuss how to wind down our relationship while respecting your data preferences.

Special Considerations for Blockchain Projects

Decentralized application development involves unique privacy considerations that deserve specific attention.

Important: Once data is written to a public blockchain, it typically cannot be deleted or modified. This is a fundamental characteristic of blockchain technology, not a limitation of our privacy practices.

When we develop dApps for you, we design systems that minimize personal data storage on-chain. Business logic and transaction records go on the blockchain, but personally identifiable information stays in traditional databases where we can manage it according to this privacy policy.

For projects requiring identity verification or compliance features, we implement off-chain verification systems that store sensitive data in controlled environments while using blockchain for immutable audit trails and transaction processing.

If your project requires on-chain identity or personal data, we'll explicitly discuss the privacy implications during planning and document your informed consent to these technical limitations.
